For the treatment and control of internal and external parasites of cattle.
Horizon Abamec Pour On for Cattle contains 10 mg/mL abamectin, a member of the macrocyclic lactone group of compounds. It is effective against internal and external parasites sensitive to this family. Resistance can develop to any anthelmintic. Check the effectiveness of anthelmintics at least annually.

Horizon Abamec Pour On for Cattle, when used at the recommended dose level of 500 micrograms Abamectin per kg liveweight, effectively controls the following parasites of cattle:
Gastro-intestinal roundworms: adult and immature Ostertagia spp (including inhibited immatures), Haemonchus spp, Trichostrongylus spp, Cooperia spp, Bunostomum spp, Oesophagostomum spp, and adults of Chabertia spp, Nematodirus spp, Trichuris spp, and Strongyloides spp.
Lungworms: adult and immature Dictyocaulus viviparous.
Biting and Sucking Lice: Bovicola bovis, Linognathus vituli.

By law the user must take due care, obtaining expert advice when necessary, to avoid unnecessary pain and distress when using the product other than as directed on the label.
It is strongly recommended not to use this product in cattle under four months of age and/or 100kg liveweight.
The dose rate for cattle is 500 µg Abamectin per kg bodyweight, which is provided by 1 mL Horizon Abamec Pour On for Cattle per 20 kg bodyweight.
Heavier animals (e.g. mature bulls) should receive an additional 1 mL for each 20 kg over 650 kg.

Cobalt deficiency in soil and/or pasture leads to a lack of Vitamin B12 in body tissues of stock which, subsequently, may have poor growth rates and ill thrift, particularly in young animals
Before treatment, establish selenium status of stock, pasture cobalt levels and/or Vitamin B12 status of stock
Do not use this product unless animals are deficient in both cobalt and selenium
Treatment is likely to last only 4-6 weeks if liver storage levels of Vitamin B12 and pasture levels of cobalt are low
Treatment of pregnant ruminants should benefit newborn animals, particularly when treated in latter stages of pregnancy
Supplementation of young ruminants should begin at or before weaning
Do not redose with this product within three months of the previous dose. Within this period re-treat with a non-selenised Vitamin B12 supplement
DO NOT use at the same time as any other selenised fertiliser, prill or product without consulting a veterinarian
Seek veterinary advice if poor stock condition persists after treatment

It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds.
MILK Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for 35 days following the last treatment.
MEAT Cattle producing meat and offal for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter during or within 35 days of the last treatment.

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection. Keep closed when not in use. May be harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. May cause mild skin and eye irritation. Repeated exposure may cause skin allergy. Abamectin may possibly affect development and/or reproduction and may have effects on/or via lactation. Diethylene glycol monobutyl ether may possibly affect kidney if swallowed and liver if inhaled. Wash hands and exposed skin before meals and after use. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Do not inhale vapor. Avoid skin and eye contact.Very toxic to aquatic organisms and terrestrial invertebrates. Toxic to the soil environment. Harmful to terrestrial vertebrates. Avoid contamination of any water supply with product or empty container. Avoid release to the environment.
FIRST AID
If swallowed do NOT induce vomiting. If skin or hair contact occurs remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water. If splashed in eyes wash out immediately with water. For advice contact the National Poisons Centre 0800 POISON (0800 764 766) or a doctor immediately.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE
In case of spillage wear appropriate protective clothing. Prevent material from entering waterways and absorb spills with inert material and place in waste container. Wash area and absorb with further inert material.
DISPOSAL
Preferably dispose of product by use. Otherwise dispose of product, packaging and waste at an approved landfill or equivalent facility. Triple rinse empty container, crush or puncture and bury in a suitable landfill, or if appropriate recycle.
STORAGE
Store below 25°C. Protect from sunlight and keep it well closed.
